This week we released a host of hats into the Hat Works handling collection. This is one of the BIG advantages of going through our donation backlog. At the time these hats were offered to the collection, the donors gave their permission for them to become ‘handling hats’. This means they will be used in learning sessions, tried on and can be repaired in house. We accept that they won’t last forever but they will provide opportunities for people to experience how hat-wearing feels and give a few laughs in the process. Our Learning Officer, Amanda certainly seems pleased with her new hat haul!
